The Dodgers snap a seven-game skid by outlasting the Diamondbacks 2-1 in 10 innings. Earlier, the Dodgers lost their 7th straight on a walk-off homer by rookie Ryan Waldschmidt. Left-hander Blake Snell is expected to return from the injured list Tuesday against the Royals.

Red Sox Streak Snapped

The Red Sox finally falter as their 10-game winning streak ends with a 7-3 loss to the Athletics. Earlier they extended the run to eight with a wild win 12-11 in 13 innings over the White Sox. Payton Tolle struck out a career-high 14 in six innings of a rout. First baseman Triston Casas underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left wrist.

Brewers Injury Challenges

The Brewers' infield depth is being tested with third baseman Joey Ortiz and shortstop Cooper Pratt sidelined. The club also designated Bryse Wilson for assignment and called up Lyon Richardson from Triple-A.

Mariano Rivera returned to the Yankees’ Old-Timers’ Day a year after tearing his Achilles at the event. Chase Utley was inducted into the Phillies’ Wall of Fame. Twins shortstop Kaelen Culpepper homered in his MLB debut. Longtime Giants broadcaster Mike Krukow announced he will retire after this season.
