All-Star Game Player Withdrawals and Selections

Several players have withdrawn from the upcoming All-Star Game due to injury or other reasons. Yankees pitcher Cam Schlittler will not pitch, choosing to rest on his recovery day. Shohei Ohtani was scratched from his scheduled start with left knee irritation and will skip the game. Athletics first baseman Nick Kurtz went on the IL with a thumb sprain and will miss the game.
