Spanish insurer Mapfre Inmuebles acquired the Ombú Building in Madrid from renewable energy firm Acciona for €110 million. The century-old gasworks complex, redeveloped into a sustainable office, was originally purchased by Acciona in 2017. Acciona converted the structure into its headquarters before leasing it to Electronic Arts' sports division in 2022. The €110 million sale represents a strong return on investment for Acciona, who invested around €40 million in the renovation. Mapfre Inmuebles, the real estate arm of the Mapfre Group, now leases the property to EA Sports.
