SAMY, a social-first agency backed by Bridgepoint, has acquired US-based Get Engaged for undisclosed terms. Bridgepoint, which became SAMY’s majority shareholder in 2025, supported the transaction. The deal combines Get Engaged’s expertise in social media, creator and influencer marketing, and talent and entertainment with SAMY’s capabilities in research and intelligence, strategy, creative, content production and social technology.

It is the latest step in SAMY’s strategy to expand in the US through organic growth and acquisitions, following its recent appointment of Anabela Bonuccelli as US managing director. Alex Dermer, Cam Fordham and Ben Hiott founded Get Engaged in 2016. The company has more than 120 employees across offices in Atlanta, New York, Nashville and Los Angeles. Get Engaged will retain its founders and leadership, with Dermer stepping into the CEO role.

“This is another important milestone in SAMY’s global growth journey, bringing together two highly complementary social-first businesses and significantly strengthening the group’s presence in the US,” said Héctor Pérez, deputy managing partner of Bridgepoint Europe. Madrid-based SAMY has more than 1,200 employees across 22 offices and operates in more than 55 markets. This year it has expanded into France, Denmark, Romania, Canada and Turkey, and has recently won global accounts from Unilever Foods and Barilla.
