VetnCare, backed by Great Point Partners, has acquired Geary Veterinary Hospital in Walnut Creek, California. The practice, founded in 1979, is led by Dr. Gillian Hamilton and Dr. Erica Weiss, who will continue to lead the practice. This marks VetnCare's seventh acquisition since partnering with Great Point Partners, a Greenwich, Connecticut-based firm focused on healthcare.

The deal expands VetnCare's presence in the East Bay region of Northern California. Great Point Partners, founded in 2003, manages approximately $1.7 billion in capital and has invested in over 100 healthcare companies.
