Kroll, backed by Stone Point Capital, Further Global, and Permira, has acquired ABC economics, an economics and competition advisory firm headquartered in Berlin. The acquisition strengthens Kroll's economic and econometric advisory capabilities across Europe and internationally, enhancing its ability to serve clients in complex regulatory environments.

Founded by economist Frank Maier-Rigaud, ABC economics advises on competition, regulatory, and dispute matters including mergers, cartels, market investigations, and international arbitration. The firm's deep expertise in European competition law and economic analysis complements Kroll's existing service offerings and expands its geographic reach.

The deal follows Kroll's earlier launch of its own economics and decision intelligence practices this year, signaling a strategic push to expand its advisory footprint in high-growth practice areas. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but the combination positions Kroll as a stronger competitor in the global economics advisory market.
