KKR has closed its previously announced purchase of a majority stake in the Global Print business of Thomson Reuters, a global content and technology company, for undisclosed terms. The carved-out business now runs as an independent company called Westbridge Print. It supplies information, mainly in print format and via Pro View, to legal and tax professionals, governments, law schools and corporations in 13 countries.

Westbridge Print also offers commercial printing to book publishers across a range of markets, including trade, government, associations, faith-based organizations, universities and children’s books. Its customers are primarily in the US, Canada and the UK.

Thomson Reuters said the sale allows it to sharpen its focus on AI products for the legal, tax, audit and compliance industries.
