Centre Partners' portfolio company Nearly Natural has acquired Texas-based Modernized Pottery, a designer and manufacturer of 3D-printed planters, vases and related home décor products, for undisclosed terms. The deal pairs Modernized Pottery's offerings with Nearly Natural's artificial plants, flowers and trees, while adding US-based 3D-printing capabilities to the combined portfolio. Nearly Natural plans to accelerate Modernized Pottery's growth through expanded product development, increased manufacturing capacity and broader distribution across direct-to-consumer, online marketplace, wholesale and dropship channels.

Modernized Pottery manufactures its products domestically using 3D-printing technology and resin that it describes as eco-friendly. Founded in 2002, Nearly Natural sells artificial plants, flowers, trees and related home décor products, combining product development capabilities with e-commerce expertise and an omnichannel distribution network serving consumers and commercial customers across the US. Centre Partners, founded in 1986, invests in lower middle-market companies in the consumer, business services and healthcare sectors.

The firm has a presence in New York and Los Angeles and has invested approximately $2.8 billion of equity capital in more than 90 transactions.
