Thoma Bravo and 7Ridge portfolio company Trading Technologies has acquired TRAFiX for undisclosed terms. The deal closed on September 30.
Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Mineola, New York, TRAFiX provides order and execution management systems and FIX connectivity for equities and equity options trading. It has more than 200 customers globally and connectivity to more than 100 trading venues.
Adding TRAFiX will give TT a single cloud-native platform covering every major asset class, including futures, options, fixed income, foreign exchange and cryptocurrencies. The combined offering will include execution and order management tools, FIX and market connectivity, multi-asset risk management and regulatory reporting, trade surveillance and compliance workflows, and pre-trade and intraday margin analytics.
Houlihan Lokey served as lead financial adviser to TRAFiX, with Marks Baughan as co-adviser and Willkie Farr & Gallagher as legal adviser. Berenson & Company was financial adviser and Goodwin Procter was legal adviser to TT.
