Beach Point Capital Management has hired Fred Storz as a managing director, effective immediately. He joins the firm's New York office and will focus on investor relations, capital formation and product development initiatives. Storz will partner with Eric Storch, Beach Point's global head of client partnerships and business development, on these efforts.

The appointment strengthens Beach Point's client-facing leadership as the firm seeks to expand its capital-raising capabilities. Storz brings extensive experience in institutional investor relations from his prior role at Energy Capital Partners, where he served as managing director of investor relations.

Before Energy Capital Partners, Storz was head of business development and partner relations at Farmstead Capital. He also worked as a vice president on the prime services capital introduction team at Goldman Sachs, giving him a deep background in alternative investment distribution. The hire comes as private credit managers compete aggressively for talent to manage record inflows into the asset class.
