Chicago-based private equity firm Pfingsten has acquired Next Point Bearing Group (NPBG), a Valencia, California-headquartered distributor of precision and miniature bearings and power transmission components, for undisclosed terms. This marks Pfingsten's latest platform investment. NPBG operates two additional distribution facilities in Mooresville, North Carolina and serves original equipment manufacturers, distributors, and end users across industrial machinery, material handling, aerospace and defense, and motion control markets. The company offers value-added services including cleanroom processing and re-lubrication, custom machining, bar code labeling, kitting, and technical support.

NPBG's management team, led by president John Burroughs, will continue to run the company. Phil Bronsteatter, managing director at Pfingsten, stated that NPBG is a trusted partner with deep inventory availability and technical expertise. Pfingsten plans to support growth through enhanced e-commerce initiatives, new product introductions, geographic expansion, and add-on acquisitions.

Paul Hastings served as legal counsel to Pfingsten and Sklar Kirsh served as legal counsel to the selling shareholders. Formed in 1989, Pfingsten has raised six funds with total commitments of approximately $1.8 billion and has acquired 179 manufacturing, distribution, and business services companies.
