NextPoint Group, a private‑equity‑backed firm backed by Godspeed Capital, announced the acquisition of UScontracting, a Maryland‑based software developer specializing in cybersecurity, signals intelligence and data analysis. The deal marks the first portfolio purchase for NextPoint’s newly formed operating platform NPG, which Godspeed bought in November 2025. NPG is headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, and serves intelligence and defense customers globally today.

Founded in 2002, UScontracting has built a niche portfolio of contracts with U.S. defense agencies, delivering custom code for signal processing and threat analysis. Its acquisition gives NPG immediate access to a pipeline of classified work and a team of engineers versed in secure software practices. Analysts see the move as a shortcut to expanding NPG’s footprint in the federal cyber‑market.

With the transaction, NPG now controls two complementary capabilities: mission‑enablement hardware from its Herndon base and software expertise from UScontracting’s Maryland team. The combined offering positions the firm to bid on larger, integrated contracts that require both hardware integration and secure code development. Investors will watch the next fiscal quarter for revenue uplift stemming from the newly secured defense work.
