Private Equity Exits and New Investments

Wynnchurch Capital exited its investment in flow control specialist Flo Works, selling the company to Ferguson for $1.6 billion. The transaction represents a 10x acquisition multiple on last twelve months adjusted EBITDA, including approximately $45 million in expected synergies. In a separate deal completed its acquisition of Total Safety Supplies & Solutions from Littlejohn & Co. portfolio company Total Safety US. Meanwhile, HIG Capital’s OB Streem acquired Med Frigo in Greece, a company specializing in cold-chain logistics for fish exports. Broadwing-backed Lehr also made an add-on acquisition, purchasing emergency vehicle upfitting assets from Pro Logic ITS to expand its Southeast presence.

GP Financing and Sector Focus

Arctos debuted its GP financing strategy with a $6.2 billion fund. The firm's Keystone strategy is designed to remain relevant across various fundraising cycles. In Europe and other private equity firms are targeting the water treatment sector, citing significant infrastructure investment needs and skilled labor constraints. Bridgepoint signed a deal for a majority stake in Danish defense company UMag, while Ardian is set to acquire a majority stake in German battery-tech firm Munich Electrification, with capital earmarked for international expansion.

AI and Data Center Investments

Helsing raised $1.8 billion in a funding round backed by Goldman Sachs and Lightspeed Venture Partners. Sapphire Ventures partner Anders Ranum highlighted the importance of a "show me" era for AI startups, emphasizing the need to differentiate from the rest. Anthropic, a major player in the AI space, recruited Monzo cofounder Tom Blomfield for its AI compute team. Nscale’s £2 billion UK data center project is experiencing delays due to grid issues.

Sixth Street is exploring opportunities in Asian sports deals, with initial
