New 2ND Capital is targeting a $1.25bn close for Fund IV by Q4/Q1, having recently activated and closed its first deal. Korea’s National Pension Service added another $1bn of secondaries exposure, with secondary funds and co-investments growing 36% to approximately $3.7bn. The pension also posted a 12% rise in PE AUM, though private equity represented 7.2% of its total portfolio as of December, down from 7.8% a year earlier. EQT Life Sciences invested $17.5m in Vaderis Therapeutics as part of a $152m Series B round for the Swiss biotech’s rare-disease trial. Astara Capital snapped up industrial wastewater treatment firm Dynatec, which serves food & beverage, automotive, data center, waste, and general manufacturing markets.
