Thoma Bravo has agreed to acquire Atlanta-based specialty insurance risk exchange platform Accelerant in a take‑private deal for more than $4 billion. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2027. Altamont Capital Partners, Accelerant’s largest investor, and the company’s founders will retain equity ownership alongside Thoma Bravo, ensuring continuity of leadership. Jeff Radke, chairman and CEO of Accelerant, remains in his role as the deal progresses. Senior partner A.J. Rohde of Thoma Bravo praised the company’s technology‑forward approach and expressed excitement to partner with Accelerant’s team.

Morgan Stanley is serving as the exclusive financial advisor to Accelerant’s board, while legal counsel teams include Paul Hastings LLP, Sidley Austin LLP, and Maples Group. Thoma Bravo’s advisors comprise BMO Capital Markets, Wells Fargo, and legal counsel from Goodwin Procter LLP, Skadden पालन, and Walkers.

The acquisition positions Thoma Bravo to strengthen its portfolio in insurance technology, targeting rapid program growth and underwriting innovation in the MGA market.
