Washington‑based DCG has merged with New Jersey‑based digital and tech firm Urban Emu, a partnership that expands the strategy, technology, and engagement firm’s reach into federal service.

The merger, backed by Granite Creek Capital, does not disclose financial terms. DCG supports agencies such as Veterans Affairs, War, State, Labor, Treasury, Transportation, and Homeland Security, tackling issues from human trafficking to veteran mental health. “When Granite Creek invested in DCG, we were drawn to a team doing work that genuinely matters,” said co‑founder Peter Lehman. “Adding Urban Emu’s technical depth gives us the tools to scale that impact further,” he added.

As part of the transaction, Urban Emu CEO Patrick Kesler will join DCG’s executive leadership as chief technology officer. The firm, founded in 2007, will bring its digital‑solutions expertise to DCG’s client roster, promising greater precision and amplified impact.
