Aeterna Group, a new Washington‑DC‑based architecture and engineering firm, launched after Signal Hill Equity Partners invested in the venture. The company unites five established practices—CSArch, ZMM Architects & Engineers, Kluber Architects + Engineers, KGD Architecture, and Omni Associates Architects—while letting each retain its brand and regional focus — in the United States market across 11 states nationwide for clients.

CSArch remains headquartered in Albany, New York; ZMM operates out of Charleston, West Virginia; Kluber is based in Aurora, Illinois; KGD keeps its base in Washington, DC; and Omni stays in Fairmont, West Virginia. Each office preserves its local expertise, allowing the group to serve a broad spectrum of municipal and commercial projects for clients nationwide and governments.

Adam Krason takes the helm as president, steering the merged entities toward integrated design services. The alliance positions the group to capture growing demand for sustainable infrastructure and smart‑city solutions, especially in regions where the component firms already hold strong relationships and secure new public‑private partnership contracts across the country, while maintaining regional project delivery excellence for investors.

Signal Hill’s backing signals confidence in the U.S. architecture‑engineering sector’s resilience. By pooling resources, Aeterna Group can leverage shared technology and talent, reducing duplication costs and speeding project timelines. The move underscores a broader trend of consolidation within the industry, aiming to deliver higher value to clients and shareholders, and ensuring sustainable growth for all stakeholders in the coming years.
