Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix podium at the new Madring circuit left all three drivers feeling they deserved a different result. Winner Kimi Antonelli admitted Lando Norris "deserved to win today" after Norris dominated the first 13 laps from pole, building a six-second lead. A virtual safety car (VSC) deployed for Lance Stroll's stranded Aston Martin at Turn 20 on Lap 15 allowed Antonelli and Max Verstappen to pit efficiently.

Norris pitted moments after the VSC ended, losing 16 seconds and emerging fifth. He recovered to third but called it "a load of s---" on team radio. McLaren principal Andrea Stella called it a "mathematical definition of being unlucky," noting preemptive pitting risked a 27-second penalty if the VSC hadn't materialized.

Antonelli secured his eighth win of the season, while Verstappen finished second. The race highlighted the strategic volatility of F1's newest venue.
