Granola, an AI-powered meeting notepad, has launched on watchOS, extending its functionality to the Apple Watch. The new app is designed for capturing conversations during meetings away from a computer, such as one-on-ones, whiteboard sessions, and coffee meetings. With a single tap, users can initiate note-taking, confirmed by a green screen and audio cue. Scheduled meetings can trigger subtle reminders, and a watch face complication offers one-tap recording.

Previously known for its Mac app that captured system audio from services like Zoom and Google Meet without a bot, Granola generates comprehensive notes, summaries, decisions, and action items by combining transcripts with user-typed input. The iPhone app expanded this to in-person conversations and phone calls, with synchronized note access and Granola Chat. The Apple Watch now offers a more discreet capture point, allowing users to leave devices aside and access notes later on their iPhone, Mac, or Windows.

This launch aligns with Apple Watch's growing AI capabilities, including watchOS 17's enhanced Siri experience. Granola's expansion indicates third-party developers' interest in bringing AI tools to the wrist. The Granola app for Apple Watch is free and requires watchOS 11 or later. Users can install or update the iPhone app and follow setup instructions.
