watchOS 27 public beta now available, bringing Siri AI to Apple Watch alongside dynamic app grid, one-handed tap gesture, and proactive Smart Stack. Health upgrades include Workout Buddy AI coaching without iPhone, improved treadmill distance tracking, and Cycle Tracking perimenopause notifications for users 40+.

Compatibility limited to Apple Watch Series 9, 10, 11, Ultra 2, Ultra 3, and SE 3 paired with iPhone 11 or newer running iOS 27. Installation requires iOS 27 public beta on iPhone first, then enroll via Apple Beta Software Program. Warning: Apple Watch cannot easily restore to earlier watchOS versions.

Additional features: consolidated Find My app with Precision Finding, Wallet custom passes, Call Context, refined Liquid Glass contrast, and battery optimization suggestions. Apple Watch For Your Kids gains Screen Time redesigns and contact controls.

9to5Mac calls Siri AI a "huge leap forward" though still rough in beta. The dynamic app grid and single-tap gesture improve one-handed use, but double-click Digital Crown shortcut removed. Final release expected this fall.
