Xiaomi India will launch the Redmi 15A on March 27, marking the return of the A-series after a four-year gap. The affordable phone will be the first in its lineup to offer 5G connectivity, featuring an octa-core chipset and dual-camera setup. This positions it as a significant upgrade over the 2022 Redmi 10A.

Xiaomi is emphasizing several key improvements for the 15A, including what it claims is the "largest and smoothest" display in its segment with a 120Hz refresh rate. This represents a major leap from the 10A's 60Hz IPS LCD. The phone will also pack a substantial 6,300mAh battery, up from the previous model's 5,000mAh capacity.

The Redmi 15A will feature an IP rating for water and dust resistance, though the specific certification level remains unannounced. While Xiaomi has not disclosed pricing, the Redmi 10A launched at ₹8,500 four years ago, suggesting the 15A will target a similar budget-friendly price point. The company is keeping sensor details under wraps for now, but the upgrade to dual cameras marks a departure from previous single-camera A-series models.
