Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 17 series, featuring the Redmi 17 4G and Redmi 17 5G. Both models share a 6.9-inch IPS LCD display with 1600 x 720px resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, powered by a 7,500mAh battery supporting 45W wired charging. The 4G variant uses the MediaTek Helio G91-Ultra chipset, while the 5G model features the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5.

Storage options include 4/6GB RAM and 128/256GB, with the 5G version offering faster UFS 2.2 storage. Both have a 50MP main camera and an 8MP front camera, along with a programmable RGB light, IP64 rating, NFC, and a side fingerprint scanner. Available in Malaysia, the 4G starts at MYR 669 ($163), and the 5G at MYR 769 ($188).

Colors vary between models, with the 5G offering Vivid Orange. The RGB light enhances notifications and alerts, while both retain a 3.5mm headphone jack for audio connectivity.
