Xiaomi's Redmi 17 5G is confirmed to launch in India on September 3, featuring a significant battery upgrade over the global model. The Indian variant will come equipped with a 7,900 mAh battery, which is a 400 mAh increase from the international version. Despite the battery enhancement, the device retains the same Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset, 50MP main camera, and 120Hz display as seen globally.

Charging capabilities remain unchanged, supporting 45W wired and 22.5W reverse wired charging. The smartphone will be offered in three color options: black, blue, and orange. Redmi India shared teaser posts confirming these details, highlighting the local market's focus on extended battery life.

The launch positions the Redmi 17 5G as a competitive mid-range offering with improved endurance for Indian consumers.
