vivo is preparing to launch three global versions of its Y500 smartphone, nearly a year after the original Chinese debut. The company appears to be expanding the model internationally with multiple variants, though details remain scarce beyond basic connectivity specifications. All three models carry the same Y500 branding despite having distinct model numbers.

According to Bluetooth SIG certifications, the three variants will be identified as V2627, V2634, and V2635. While the certification confirms Bluetooth support across all models, it reveals nothing about differentiating features or regional availability. The lack of clear distinctions between these three handsets raises questions about vivo's segmentation strategy for the global market.

Alongside the Y500 trio, vivo is also bringing the V70 Lite 4G to market. This device previously cleared FCC certification in early May and will join the broader V70 lineup. The V70 Lite 4G packs either an 8,000 or 8,100 mAh battery, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

vivo's multi-variant approach suggests the company is tailoring devices for different regional preferences and price points. This strategy could help the brand compete more effectively in diverse global markets where single-model approaches often fall short against localized competitors.
