Athom has officially achieved Matter 1.5 certification for its Homey software component, covering Homey Pro (2023-2026), Homey Pro mini, and Homey Self Hosted Server. This update enhances native device integration and cross-platform bridging capabilities.

The Matter 1.5 update adds native support for energy-focused hardware categories including EV chargers, heat pumps, solar panels, and major appliances. Firmware version 13.3.0 delivers these enhancements to supported Homey Pro and server installations. Homey Pro and Homey Pro mini feature built-in Thread Border Routers, while self-hosted instances can integrate Matter over Thread accessories using local Thread Border Router networks.

Homey's multi-protocol architecture supports Zigbee, Z-Wave, infrared, Bluetooth, 433 MHz, Wi-Fi, and proprietary APIs. Through the Matter Bridge app, users can expose non-Matter devices to Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, SmartThings, and Home Assistant while maintaining direct local control over native devices.
