Samsung's summer rollout of foldables and wearables appears set for price hikes, according to overseas rumor aggregators. The upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra—previously dubbed the Fold 7 successor—could cost €100 more for the 256 GB model, roughly $114 above the current Fold 7 price. A 1 TB variant may climb €280, about $320, pushing it near €2,799 ($3,201).

The wider Fold 8 model, teased as a “Wide” variant, is rumored to house a 5.5‑inch Quad HD+ outer display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 7.6‑inch Quad HD+ inner panel at 4:3. Under the hood, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 powers a 4,800 mAh battery, while the camera stack may drop a telephoto lens, leaving only 50 MP primary and ultrawide sensors, impacting low-light shots.

Alongside the foldables, the Galaxy Watch 9 lineup may see modest increases—€40 for the 40 mm Bluetooth model and €30 for the 44 mm version—while the Watch Ultra 2 could rise €50. These adjustments reflect Samsung’s broader strategy to recoup higher component costs and maintain premium positioning. Consumers will face steeper entry points for Samsung’s flagship ecosystem this summer, and price sensitivity may curb early adoption rates.
