Samsung unveiled its next generation foldables, including the first wide foldable for the US market – the Galaxy Z Fold8 – alongside the Z Fold8 Ultra and Z Flip8. Pre‑orders are open now, with general sales starting on August 7. The company highlights various offers for the new models.

In the US, Samsung no longer gives free storage upgrades but provides discounts that offset most of the cost difference: $200 off the Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra, and $150 off the Z Flip8. An extra $100 off is available when purchasing with PayPal using code PAYPAL100. Trade‑in values can yield up to $1,200 off the Folds and $600 off the Flip. Amazon offers gift cards instead – $350 for the Folds and $200 for the Flip – plus additional trade‑in bonuses.

Samsung also refreshed its smartwatch line: the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 features a new 800 mAh battery and Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset, while a new vanilla Galaxy Watch joins the lineup. Competing devices include Google’s Pixel 10 Pro Fold (6.4” cover, 8.0” inner, Tensor G5, 5,015 mAh battery) and Motorola’s book‑style Razr Fold and Razr Ultra 2025/2026 models. The Pixel Watch 4 is expected to be replaced with the Pixel 10 series, offering satellite SOS at a discount. Finally, the Galaxy S26 Ultra shares the same 200 MP camera as the Z Fold8 Ultra but is thinner and lighter, presenting a strong alternative to the Flip8.
