Apple is preparing to launch the iPhone 17e on March 4, bringing several key upgrades to its budget-friendly lineup. The most notable change is the replacement of the traditional notch with a Dynamic Island cutout, bringing Apple's latest software features to the more affordable model.

The display will remain unchanged at 6.1 inches with a 60Hz refresh rate, though slimmer bezels are expected. Powering the device will be a downclocked A19 Bionic chip, offering performance similar to the A17 Pro. The Apple C1X modem promises better connectivity and improved energy efficiency compared to its predecessor.

Camera upgrades appear modest, with the same 48MP main sensor but enhanced processing capabilities from the new chip. Some reports suggest Fusion computational photography may arrive on the 17e, while selfie camera details remain unclear. MagSafe wireless charging is finally coming to the budget model, though charging speeds will likely remain capped at 24W. Pricing is expected to stay at $599 for the base 8GB/128GB configuration, maintaining Apple's successful formula for its entry-level iPhone.
