Volvo unveils its next mainstream electric SUV, the EX60, with a starting price of $58,400. Launched for family buyers, the base P6 Plus model delivers a respectable 307‑mile range powered by an 83 kWh pack and 374 hp, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. Standard tech includes Pilot Assist, a 15‑inch OLED screen, and a 21‑speaker sound system.

At $65,000, the P6 Ultra adds ventilated leather, extra heating for the second row, and a dimmable electrochromic roof, while the P10 AWD Plus starts at $60,750. Upscaling to a 95‑kWh battery pushes the range to 322 miles and raises output to 510 hp, cutting the 0‑to‑100 km/h time to 4.6 seconds in the US market for drivers.

The top‑tier P12 AWD remains unpriced, but promises 680 hp—ten more than Volvo’s flagship EX90—and a 400‑mile range from a 117‑kWh pack. With a 3.9‑second sprint, it targets families who want both luxury and performance, positioning the EX60 as a serious challenger among premium electric SUVs in the competitive EV market for buyers seeking value and performance.

Volvo’s strategy differs from Rivian, which debuted with its most premium R2 trim. By offering the P6 and P10 first, the brand caters to buyers ready to order immediately while reserving the P12 for later. This staggered rollout may boost early sales and give Volvo a foothold before the high‑end segment launches in the market.
