Galaxy S26 Ultra Screens Showing Red Tint

Some owners of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra have reported their phone screens developing a reddish tint, with some displaying a pink rectangle in the center. Claims of this defect date back to March, shortly after the device's release. Many users allege the color appeared gradually after several months of use or was observed on in-store demo models.

While the exact prevalence is unknown, Samsung has confirmed it is "examining the matter internally to confirm the cause." Speculation points to the phone's Privacy Display feature, which has previously caused symptoms like eye strain in some users. Other possibilities include screen burn-in or an environmental cause.

Engadget has reached out to Samsung for further comment and will update its report if a response is received. The company has not yet provided a definitive reason for the screen discoloration.
