Fujifilm is bringing back its classic QuickSnap instant camera with two special editions celebrating the model's 40th anniversary. Both versions maintain the disposable camera format while adding distinct features for different shooting scenarios. The cameras arrive this fall, targeting analog enthusiasts who want something different from their phone cameras.

The QuickSnap Black and White edition uses ISO 400 black-and-white negative film with 27 exposures. It includes a built-in flash activated by a switch, effective up to about 10 feet. This straightforward point-and-shoot design works well for documenting casual moments without digital distractions. Users simply compose and fire away, then dispose of the camera after use.

The QuickSnap Active takes a more adventurous approach as a waterproof, rugged variant replacing the current waterproof model. Housed in protective casing with a wrist strap, it shoots 27 frames of ISO 800 color film. The trade-off for waterproofing to 35 feet is the absence of flash, making it better suited for outdoor activities.

Pricing positions the Black and White model at $22.90 and the Active version at $24.75. These disposable cameras serve a niche market craving analog simplicity in an era dominated by smartphone photography, offering a tactile alternative that produces physical prints immediately.
