Apple has released security updates for macOS Sonoma (14.8.9), macOS Sequoia (15.7.9), and macOS Tahoe (26.6.1), addressing a critical Screen Sharing vulnerability. The flaw, identified as CVE-2026-65400, could allow a network attacker to authenticate to Screen Sharing without valid credentials.

This vulnerability, discovered by Alfredo Pesoli via Bynario Atlas, could enable unauthorized remote access to a Mac, potentially allowing an attacker to view the screen, open files, or execute commands. While there's no evidence of exploitation in the wild, Apple's prompt patching across multiple macOS versions highlights the severity of the issue.

Apple has fixed the bug with improved state management. All users are recommended to install these important security updates, even if they do not actively use Screen Sharing, to safeguard their systems.
