Twelve South Valet Charger: Smaller, Faster, Still Stylish

Twelve South has released a smaller version of its Valet charging station, addressing the size concerns of the original $180 model. The new $130 Valet reduces its depth from 7.5 to 4.25 inches, making it more suitable for cramped spaces like nightstands.

Despite the reduced size, the new Valet retains the premium features of its predecessor. It boasts a Nappa leather-wrapped top and frame, with interchangeable frames for customization. A subtle LED array indicates charging status. The Valet supports Qi2 charging and offers faster wireless charging at 25W, an upgrade from the original's 15W. A USB-C port is also included for charging additional devices, with a total simultaneous output of 35W.

While it lacks built-in Apple Watch charging, the USB-C port allows for easy integration of a separate charger. Thoughtful details like cable routing further enhance its utility. For those who value design and functionality in a compact package, the new Valet offers a stylish solution for organizing and charging personal tech.
