The Google Health app for iOS has been updated to allow data from wearables like Fitbit trackers and Pixel Watch to sync with Apple Health. This update enables users to share exercise records, sleep data, vitals, steps, and more. Previously, Fitbit devices lacked native syncing capabilities with Apple Health, requiring third-party tools or workarounds.

This new feature establishes two-way synchronization between the platforms, as Apple Health data could already be synced to Google Health. While most data transfers, some information, like HRV, may not be included. Users can enable syncing by navigating to Connections, then Apps and services, and adding Apple Health within the updated app.

Version 5.05 of the Google Health app, available for free on the App Store, also introduces Smart Health Links for easier sharing of medical records. This long-awaited integration provides a more seamless experience for users managing their health data across different ecosystems.
