Google rolled out the rebranded Google Health app alongside the new Fitbit Air smartwatch. The launch delivered a fresh UI and features like Health Coach, but users quickly reported bugs in workout tracking, sleep scores, and device sync. Google’s blog confirms a slate of fixes will ship soon, targeting mislabeled runs and intermittent Air connectivity.

Improvements will also address metric inconsistencies when multiple devices feed data into the platform, and enhance automatic workout detection on the Air. A new 24-hour sleep view will merge nighttime sleep and naps into a single timeline, while users gain the ability to manually delete sleep sessions. Dashboard customization will let metric panels be rearranged.

Beyond exercise and sleep, Google promises refinements to nutrition tracking and the Ask Coach assistant, including direct log deletion. These updates aim to close gaps that made the initial release feel unfinished, especially for early Fitbit Air adopters. With fixes arriving quickly, the platform moves closer to a cohesive health hub.

The swift rollout signals Google’s commitment to integrating wearables into its ecosystem, positioning the combined hardware‑software offering against rival health platforms. By patching early flaws, the company hopes to retain Fitbit Air buyers and attract users seeking a unified health dashboard across Android devices.
