Google has reportedly canceled its unreleased AI app, Google AI Studio, which was slated for both Android and iOS. Despite approximately 800,000 pre-orders across the Google Play Store and the App Store, the AI Studio team opted for a different strategy, choosing to integrate its functionality directly into Gemini.

This decision means users will not need to download a separate application. Instead, the features of Google AI Studio, which allow users to build, test, and deploy AI applications using Gemini models, will become accessible within the Gemini platform on both mobile and desktop.

While the move highlights Google's tendency to discontinue services, it also signals an effort to consolidate AI capabilities. Users anticipating the Google AI Studio mobile app should look for these features to be rolled out within Gemini soon.
