Apple has settled a class-action lawsuit for $250 million after delaying promised Siri enhancements. The agreement compensates U.S. customers $25 per eligible device, with potential payouts up to $95 if claims are sparse. Filed in 2025, the lawsuit accused Apple of misleadingly advertising AI-powered Siri features slated for WWDC 2024's Apple Intelligence rollout.

Eligible devices include the iPhone 16 lineup, iPhone 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max, purchased between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. Claimants must submit proof of purchase, serial numbers, and Apple Account details. Submissions open within 45 days of May 5, 2026. Apple emphasized resolving the matter to focus on innovation, though its statement avoided acknowledging fault.

The settlement covers two delayed features tied to Apple Intelligence, including advanced in-app actions and contextual awareness. Meanwhile, a separate South Korean lawsuit alleges stock market losses from Siri delays, seeking billions in damages. Apple dismissed this as speculative, citing broader 2025 market fluctuations.

Despite the settlement, Siri upgrades remain absent. They’re expected alongside iOS 27 at WWDC 2026, but legal battles may persist. The resolution signals Apple’s effort to quell scrutiny while prioritizing its AI roadmap.
