Ticketmaster teams with Google Wallet for branded Android passes

Ticketmaster has teamed with Google Wallet to roll out “customizable passes” on Android, turning a standard mobile ticket into a branded experience. Passes live inside Wallet and can showcase hero images, tour artwork or game‑day graphics, letting promoters inject visual identity directly into the ticket. The move expands Android’s digital‑ticket ecosystem ahead of a busy summer event calendar.

Each pass supports up to 12 action links, giving attendees shortcuts to parking maps, transit directions, gate details, VIP upgrades, and food or merch menus. Tapping a link launches the appropriate app or map without leaving Wallet, cutting the research step before arriving. Brands can swap hero images per event, so a concert ticket shows album art while an NFL ticket displays team colors.

Google Wallet already surfaces relevant passes via its context‑aware feature, showing tickets on the lock screen as users near a venue. By embedding Ticketmaster’s customizable passes, the system can present a fan’s game‑day ticket alongside parking and concession links the moment they enter the stadium. The integration tightens Android’s role in live‑event logistics and gives promoters a new channel for brand engagement.
