Currently, the Mac mini in testing reportedly utilizes M6 and M5 Pro chips, suggesting a skip of the base M5. This change is speculated to be influenced by memory supply issues that have reportedly delayed new Mac mini and Mac Studio releases.

The iMac is also slated to be among the first Macs to feature the M6 chip, alongside a refreshed low-end 14-inch MacBook Pro. While the iMac's specific chip isn't explicitly named, its inclusion in the first wave of M6 Macs suggests it will likely adopt the M6.
