Apple has released the first betas of iOS 27.3, iPadOS 27.3, and macOS 27.3, introducing significant updates to Safari. The most prominent change is a new Vertical Tabs design, arranging tabs vertically along the left side of the browser for better space management. This layout can be customized to show icons or website titles and is accessible via Settings on iOS or the View menu on Mac and iPad.
Additionally, Adaptive Dark Mode will automatically apply dark themes to websites that don't natively support them, with options for automatic or manual activation. Siri AI has also been enhanced to take direct action on tabs, including moving, sorting, organizing, and closing them. Future updates will expand Siri's awareness to full website content. These features are currently available to developers for beta testing, with a public release expected in December.
