iOS 26 AutoFill Credit Cards: Apple Wallet Feature Explained

Apple has expanded its AutoFill feature in iOS 26 to include credit cards, making it easier than ever to enter payment details across apps and websites. The new system-wide functionality builds on Safari's existing credit card autofill capabilities, now extending to any text field on your iPhone.

To use the feature, users can tap any text field, select 'AutoFill,' then choose 'Credit Card' from the menu. This brings up saved cards from the Apple Wallet app, allowing quick selection without manual entry. The integration means users can avoid typing sensitive card information repeatedly, whether shopping in apps or filling out web forms.

Managing these AutoFill cards has moved to the Apple Wallet app itself. Users access the feature through the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID, and can add new cards by importing via camera or manual entry. This centralization makes it simpler to maintain payment information across the entire iOS ecosystem.
