Xiaomi launched the 18 Pro series in China this week, featuring a proactive privacy screen with "location-based triggers." The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch main display and a 2.9-inch rear display, while the 18 Pro has a 6.4-inch screen and a 2.7-inch rear display. The privacy screen automatically hides sensitive content based on your location.

The 18 Pro Max starts at 6,999 CNY (~$1,042) and the 18 Pro starts at 5,999 CNY (~$900). The Pro Max uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, while the Pro uses the more efficient Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. Both phones feature a 200MP main lens, 200MP periscope telephoto, and 50MP ultrawide camera, plus a 50MP selfie camera.

Xiaomi's Adam Zeng teased the series at Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit. A global launch is expected. Both phones come in black, white, blue, pink, and a Special Edition transparent red.
