Apple has officially confirmed its March 2 product launch event, where the company plans to modernize its hardware lineup through three key updates. The most significant change will be MagSafe integration across every iPhone model, as Apple reportedly discontinues the iPhone 16e and introduces the iPhone 17e with the magnetic charging and accessory system.

MagSafe, introduced with the iPhone 12 in October 2020, has been absent from Apple's most affordable devices until now. The technology enables wireless charging with precise coil alignment and supports accessories like wallets and battery packs. After nearly six years, Apple will market MagSafe as a universal iPhone feature. Additionally, Apple is expected to bring Apple Intelligence to the iPad lineup with a new iPad 12 featuring the A18 chip, ensuring every new iPhone, iPad, Mac, and even Apple Vision Pro supports the AI features.

Apple's Mac laptop lineup may also see universal MagSafe adoption, with a new A18 Pro-powered MacBook expected to replace the M1 MacBook Air. While Apple has used MagSafe on MacBooks for years, keeping the M1 model available through Walmart created an inconsistency. The new budget MacBook, priced below the $999 MacBook Air, could eliminate the last holdout from Apple's MagSafe transition.
