AirTag 2 battery life extended to 10 years with this case

AirTag 2 launched this year with upgrades to range, a louder speaker, and more. But one key feature didn’t improve: battery life. Fortunately, there’s an add-on accessory that extends AirTag 2’s roughly one year of battery life to 10 years or more.

Elevation Lab’s Air Tag extended battery case essentially turns your Air Tag into an ‘Air Tag Max.’ You install your AirTag 1 or 2 into the battery case (compatible with both), then add a pair of AA batteries, and your AirTag’s battery capacity will increase by 14x. It’s a clever solution that works well. The only downside is the extra bulk, but there are plenty of times when size is a non-issue.

You can order from Amazon: 1‑pack $22.97, 2‑pack $33.97, 4‑pack $39.97. Elevation Lab also offers a more compact version promising 5 years of battery life. If you don’t mind the extra bulk, I highly recommend Elevation Lab’s solution.
