Apple's fifth developer beta of iOS 27 has arrived with redesigned app icons and more. Beta 1 introduced Siri AI, beta 2 improved Home and Wallet, beta 3 added voice customization for American English, and beta 5 expands these to British English. Advanced Siri AI features require at least 12GB of RAM, restricting them to iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, or iPhone Air.\n\nVisual tweaks include updated icons for Preview, Remote, Safari, Settings, Siri, and the Orders icon in Wallet.

Siri now has a Liquid Glass look; Safari has a dot in the center. New update screens appear for Wallet, Music, App Store, and Photos on first launch.\n\nA new 'Before Searching' option in Settings lets users choose how many apps appear as suggestions during searches. Settings also now shows the last iOS update date.

The Control Center no longer displays cellular network types when on Wi-Fi, but features new cellular icon bars. Screenshot annotations toolbar now shrinks and hovers.\n\nOverall, this beta is a light release, offering updated icons, Siri voice settings, and Before Search settings, but little else noticeable to average users.
