We're a little over a month away from the launch of iOS 27, and Apple is continuing to make changes. The fifth beta updates Liquid Glass icons for Safari, Siri, Settings, Remote, App Store, and Preview, with some entirely redesigned and others more detailed.

Voice customizations for Siri AI have expanded: Pace and Expressivity can be adjusted for all seven American voices and four British voices. This feature is done on-device, so it's limited to the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, or iPhone Air.

Contacts now show company names in the list and search. The Wallet Create a Pass feature is available outside the U.S.. Apple added splash screens for Photos, Wallet, and Music explaining what's new in iOS 27. Search animations now sync suggestions with the search bar, and “Search the Web” appears at the bottom. You can control how many app results show (off, four, or eight) and toggle app shortcuts.

Control Center no longer shows cellular info when on Wi-Fi. 5G+ is now available in Spain. Software version now shows last update date. Clock uses a thicker font for Alarms/Timers. The clearest Liquid Glass setting is even clearer. Mail has a toggle for Personalize Smart Replies (off by default). Battery settings now warn if a poor cellular connection is causing drain.
