Supporters, including the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, argue the bill holds large companies accountable, improving pay and benefits for delivery workers. Opponents, including Amazon, claim it would increase costs and slow deliveries, potentially driving distribution centers out of New York City. The measure aims to shift liability and employment standards in the growing last-mile sector.
