Adobe has pushed its experimental camera project, Indigo, onto a broader hardware set with the latest update. The app now runs on the newly released iPhone 17e and on any iPad equipped with at least 6 GB of RAM, covering 2020‑onward iPad Pro models, M1‑based iPad Air, the current iPad mini and 11th‑generation iPad.

Among the tweaks, Project Indigo introduces a fresh grid view in its filmstrip, letting users scroll thumbnails and select multiple shots for bulk sharing or deletion. A new filter bar toggles between All Photos, Indigo Album and Favorites, while Capture settings can now reveal the 35 mm‑equivalent focal length for rear lenses. Multi‑select also streams images straight into Lightroom mobile.

The expansion matters because it puts Adobe’s AI‑driven, SLR‑like rendering on devices that previously lacked the processing headroom for real‑time computational photography. Photographers can now experiment with Indigo’s natural‑look JPEGs or embed rendering suggestions in raw DNGs without sacrificing pixel data. This update cements Adobe Labs’ push to make advanced imaging tools mainstream on Apple’s latest hardware.
