Apple today updated its official list of digital camera RAW formats supported across its platforms, adding support for 11 models from several manufacturers. Here are the details.

Apple now supports RAW files from 562 cameras. Apple’s operating systems offer system-level support for RAW images captured by many third-party cameras. This lets compatible apps work directly with those cameras’ RAW files, allowing better adjustment of exposure, color, and more. That contrasts with JPEG, which bakes in processing and limits editing flexibility.

Apple maintains support articles listing digital cameras with RAW formats supported by its current (and past) operating systems. The list was updated today, adding 11 digital cameras, bringing the total to 562 models.

Here are the 11 digital cameras Apple added today: FUJIFILM Fine Pix F600EXR, FUJIFILM Fine Pix HS20EXR, FUJIFILM XF1, OM SYSTEM PEN, Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ45, Phase One IQ150, Phase One IQ160, Phase One IQ260, Phase One IQ3 100MP Trichromatic, Phase One i XG 100MP, Phase One i XH 150MP.
