Apple has announced a new Apple Education Center in Hanoi to train employees of Vietnamese manufacturing firms supplying the company. The center is part of Apple's Supplier Employee Development fund, launched in 2022 with an initial $50 million investment, which has trained over 108,000 supplier employees to date. Apple is expanding training in Vietnam through both on-site courses and the new dedicated center, built in partnership with Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST).

Classes will begin in the fall. Sarah Chandler, Apple's Vice President of Supply Chain and Environment Innovation, said the initiative brings innovation into employee support across the global supply chain and offers workers career development opportunities. Professor Doctor Le Anh Tuan, Director of HUST, emphasized the university's role in advancing technology talent through industry collaboration.

Apple also expanded its vocational training for disabled workers in Vietnam, which has already reached 49,000 employees across 70+ facilities and aims to improve workplace inclusivity. Vietnam's role in Apple's supply chain has grown significantly, including assembly of the Apple Watch, most iPads, and production of the M5 Apple Vision Pro, with rumors pointing to Vietnam as the primary site for Apple's upcoming Home Hub.
